Fishing Report 2/3/08

Anglers were having some luck with the Blackmouth in Elger Bay today using herring and spoons. Word is that you’ve gotta go deep to find’em, but they’re there.

However, when 2 of the salmon were opened up, one had nothing in it’s stomach and the other had only a couple of sand shrimp… an interesting discovery that may point to why the fishing in Elger has slowed down significantly as of late(no bait fish in an area usually means salmon will go elsewhere).

Meanwhile, reports are still positive between Onamac and Rocky Point on the north end of Camano.
